  Great American Cleanup
The Great American Cleanup kick-off will be held March 13 from 8 til noon and will continue till May. The activities will include beautification projects and litter removal from public parks, waterways and rights-of-way. This program is led by Keep America Beautiful, Inc. In addition to this KPCB will held a tire recycling event in Waverly at the corner of Waverly and Hodge Road. You may bring also rechargeable batteries that weigh one pound or less, used ink cartridges and mobile phones to recycle. Residents may discard up to 10 tires at the event and they must be STANDARD VEHICLE SIZE ONLY and OFF the rims. Paritcipants must show photo ID and proff of Polk County residency to take advantage of the free disposal. For more information contact Keep Polk County Beautiful, Inc. at 863-676-7019.

  The Cattle Baron's Ball
The American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball is a "denim and diamonds" event that will host guests for an evening of dining, dance, great music, gaming, entertainment, auctions and other special attractions. It will be the biggest and best themed fund-raising event of its kind benefiting the American Cancer Society. This year's theme is "Vegas Cowboy".

The AMERICAN LEGION POST 72 MULBERRY ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Bartow Golf Course. There will be an 4 player scramble and 8:00am is the shotgun start.
