Former Mulberry High School Graduate featured in Tampa Tribune news article
Denny Mullis, a Mulberry High School graduate and one of four owners of Bartow Ford, was recently featured in the "Money Sense" section of the Tampa Tribune. The article called, "Small-Town Ford Dealership with Big-City Sales Moving". The dealership is relocating and is another step in development of the U.S. 98 corridor north. The new 144,000 square feet facility is located at the north end of the City limits. The article quotes Denny as saying "Everybody knows we sell a lot of turcks. They come from Vero Beach, Georgia, everywhere". Ernest Smith started the dealership in 1948 and it now sells about 45 new cars a month and 200 used cars and trucks a month. Congratulations Denny and Bartow Ford on your new expansion! Bartow Ford has been a Mulberry Chamber member since 1988.
